Bedroom, Bed in Campanile Shanghai Bund Hotel
- The room is spacious, and it looks exactly like in the pictures. Bed is comfy and large enough for 2 people. - All amenities are provided and everything is working fine. There are slippers / 2 big towels / tea bags / 2 water / hair dryer which are very convenient for us. - The water pressure is very stable and temp is not swing. The light in the room is sufficient for us - Blackout curtain is the best! you'll never know it's daytime already! - Breakfast is free for our room type. There are many choices you can choose and some menus will be changed day by day. - Staff can speak English and very helpful. - Luggage leave service is available for both early arrival and late departure. - You can also request for daily room cleaning and water bottle will be refill everyday! - On the second floor, there is a washing machine and dryer room which you have to pay for CNY 16for each service. In case you need it, this will be very convenient. - Hotel security is good. You need to swipe you card on the lift if you want to go up and there are double locks in a room which is safe enough. CCTV also equipped in every common area, lobby, hallway even in the elevator. - Overall, we think this hotel is great value for a short trip and worth the money.

I was satisfied to stay there. Excellent location, just 10 minutes walk from the metro stations (Yu Garden or Dashije). The Bund and other major attractions are within walking distance. The hotel is clean, fresh towels are provided day by day. The beds are very comfortable. The staffs arei kind and helpful. The breakfast is continental, plentiful, perfectly enough to start the day. I especially liked the evening snack and fruit offer, the coffee machine available at any time. The area, like everywhere, is safe and clean. I would choose it again on my next trip. I recommend it! Suggestion for the hotel: toilet brush should be provided. More towel hanger in the bathroom would be useful because the towels remain wet. A chest of drawers or a wardrobe would be necessary in the room to store clothes, because there is no way to take these somewhere from the luggages now, even two or three people. Other comment: There is construction going on the corner of the hotel which is being done in very normal conditions, but the noise should be expected for 1-2 years. It was not disturbing at night, but it is in the morning hours.

Altogether a very pleasant stay at this hotel.. A 10 minute walk to "The Bund" where all the city sights are located... transport services are relatively cheap compared to the UK, for example, a bus trip form one part of the city to another cost 1 yen (approx 12p) and a taxi covering the same distance is about £5.00p.. all over Shanghai there are countless restaurants, cafe's, gift shops etc.. you will be spoilt for choice at a reasonable price.. It is very advisable to have cash at your disposal as many places do not accept foreign cards, only the very larger outlets, like hotels, airports, train stations, tours etc.. although ATM's are available in the area but some do not have an English transaction wording on the machine.. The hotel itself is ideally placed with very good amenities within the building including a very good breakfast choice with free tea and coffee throughout the day.. the bedroom was a good size and each day bottled water, tea / coffee sachets and biscuits were provided.. very comfortable bed and a good view from the window.. staff were also pleasant and helpful...all in all, very clean

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was beautifully furnished, spacious, and very comfortable — everything looked modern and well-maintained. I was especially impressed by the cleanliness; everything was spotless and clearly taken care of with attention to detail. Breakfast offered a great variety of choices, catering to different tastes and dietary needs. From fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes, everything was delicious and plentiful. One of the biggest surprises was the complimentary dinner served every evening. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the stay feel even more welcoming and generous. The food was tasty and the atmosphere relaxed — perfect after a day of exploring. Overall, I highly recommend this accommodation. It combines great service, comfort, and hospitality, making it a perfect choice for any traveler.

Good location. A little hard to find. The room was as described. The bed was big. The mattress was too firm for us but that's a personal preference. Pillows were good. I can't comment on the WiFi as we didn't use it. Shower was lovely and had reliable hot water. Big bottle soaps were provided, so no wasteful miniatures. Minifridge was available but we didn't use that either. Ample working space with desk and chair. Cleaning was adequate. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. It was AMAZING. Buffet style, very varied, fresh, and so many options for both Western style cooked breakfast and Asian style breakfast. All delicious. Overall, good value for money. Would stay here again, mostly for the breakfast.
